Who we are
Nordica Free Gift & BOGO is a Shopify app made by Variegata Nordica (Mallory Berthomé). Questions about this policy or your data: mallory.berthome@gmail.com.
What the app stores
- Your store’s address and Shopify access, so the app can open in your Shopify admin and create your rules’ discounts.
- Your rules: their name, steps, the gift products and the products or collections they apply to (ids and titles), dates, and how many orders used each one, as Shopify counts it.
- Your progress bar look (colour and words) and your plan (Free or Pro).
- Messages you send with “Contact support” or “Suggest an improvement”, and the email address if you add one.
- Technical error reports: your store’s address, the page and the error, so problems can be fixed.
What the app changes in your store
It creates one automatic discount per rule, run by the app’s Shopify Function, and saves the rules and the bar’s look in a setting of the app that your theme reads. It never changes products, prices, orders or theme files, and it never copies your products.
Your customers
The app doesn’t read orders or any information about your customers. On your storefront, the gift is added and removed through the shopper’s own Shopify cart; nothing is sent to us. The browser remembers for that visit only if the shopper took a gift out, so it isn’t added again.
Who processes the data
Cloudflare hosts the app and its database. Shopify provides the store data, runs the discounts and handles billing. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
How long it is kept
When you uninstall the app, your sign-in data is deleted at once and Shopify removes the app’s discounts. Your settings are kept until Shopify asks for them to be erased, 48 hours after uninstalling, so a quick reinstall gets them back. You can ask for your support messages to be deleted at any time.
